Kundli milan in most families begins and ends with the guna score: the eight-factor ashtakoota (aṣṭakūṭa) match, scored out of 36. The eight factors are Varna (1 point), Vashya (2), Tara (3), Yoni (4), Graha Maitri (5), Gana (6), Bhakoot (7), and Nadi (8). The score is worth having, but it is built from the Moon’s sign and nakshatra alone, and it says nothing about the seventh house, Venus, or the dashas the couple will run after marriage.
This analysis reads both charts in full. It scores the ashtakoota, checks each dosha against its recognised exceptions (parihāra), and then looks at what the two charts promise for married life. The same method works for business partners, where the question is trust and shared fortune rather than marriage.
What the report covers
- The full ashtakoota score, factor by factor, with any Nadi, Bhakoot, or Gana dosha and whether an exception sets it aside
- Mangal dosha in both charts, checked with its exceptions
- The seventh house, its lord, Venus, and the navamsa of each partner
- The dashas each partner will run in the first years of marriage, and whether they support each other
- Children, relations with in-laws, finances, and the career of both partners after marriage
- Any health indication in either chart that could affect married life, stated with care and never as a diagnosis
- Traditional remedies for any weakness found
What we need from you
Date, exact time, and place of birth for both people. If either birth time is uncertain, tell us, because it affects how much weight the ascendant-based factors can carry.
How your report is prepared
Every report is worked out by hand from your birth chart by AstroShala’s astrologers. We do not use software-written or AI-generated readings. You receive it by email within 72 to 96 hours of placing your order, and your birth details are never shared with anyone.
Frequently asked questions
How many gunas are needed for marriage?
Many families take 18 of 36 as the traditional minimum. A score above 18 does not guarantee a good match, and a lower score can be acceptable when the doshas behind it are cancelled by recognised exceptions and the two charts support each other.
What if we have Nadi dosha?
Nadi dosha, where both partners share the same nadi, removes all 8 Nadi points. The texts list exceptions, for example when the two partners share a rashi but were born in different nakshatras. The report checks whether any exception applies to your pair.
